Olivers Furniture was born in 2019, but its creation stems from the 40+ years experience of its founder.
The origins
Fritz Zumbrunnen was born in Thun, Switzerland, a beautiful village by the lake near Interlaken. Fritz grew up to become a very skilled woodworker and became renowned for his wood carving skills. In 1862 he moved to England with his family and later Albert Zumbrunnen took over the family business.
The begining
Albert moved to Leamington Spa and was joined by his nephew William Lewis in 1946. William married Olivia in 1952 and today the Company Olivers is named after her father Oliver. Today their son Robert Lewis runs the business and has over 40 years of furniture experience.
December
The Olivers brand took shape in 2019, and its first showroom opened in Pershore, Worcesteshire towards the end of the year. Located on the High Street in this picturesque market town on the banks of the river Avon, it gave customers their first opportunity to view some of the furniture options on offer.
January
Buoyed by the success of its first outlet, Olivers went on to open its second showroom at the start of 2020 - in the Wylde Green area of Sutton Coldfield.
This location, just to the north-east of Birmingham, enabled more styles, designs and accessories to be showcased.
February
Just a few weeks later, a third showroom joined the Olivers family - this time in the South Warwickshire market town of Shipston on Stour. All three showrooms offer customers a way to view a few of the examples from the wide range of designs available from Olivers Furniture.
The Olivers team are here to help from start to finish and beyond. Starting with your initial enquiry, through the design process & project ordering, all the way to installation and after care service.
You can contact us to arrange for an Olivers Design Consultant to visit you, bringing with them various samples of drawers, handles and surfaces to help you choose the best exterior look and interior storage options. They’ll check your room to see how to optimise your space; create a custom, hand drawn illustration for you to keep together with an accurate quote; and then leave you to consider your design in your own time.
